STORY:

The story is a well known story on how KAPIL as a captain won the first ever World Cup for India and the events that happens around this win. This movie highlights the WONDERFUL acting by RANVEER SINGH who plays KAPIL DEV…  Every scene from the start of this movie is a master piece … 

All the supporting characters who played the role of Sreekanth ( JEEVA), Amarnath, Yashpal Sharma and Balvinder Sandhu …. India team was considered as under dogs in 1983…. They have never won a single game in a World Cup tournament before 1983.

While the acting from Ranveer was too classy as  usual KABIR KHAN made this movie very emotional and touching… I was able to see most of them in the the theater with tears In their  eyes … With Cricket  being the highly paid sports now in 1983 how the players struggled by washing this own cloths to save 15 pounds was touching.

One of the UNSUNG Hero in Indian cricket is Kapil Dev when compared to the current generation cricketers…. the dedication he had and the focus he had to give the best ….. the way he made 175 runs not out against the Zimbabve team and how they reached Semi finals and Finals of the World Cup….

RANVEER SINGH … I take a bow … hats off to this young Bollywood ⭐️ Calling him a raising star is a understatement…. he has reached to all the heights in his movies… He lived and acted as KAPiL DEV and can anyone ask a better performance from him anymore…. RANVEER SINGH is the NO 1 BOLLYWOOD actor as of today. Watch this movie and you feel his acting. What a super star … None in Bollywood can match his performance….

JEEVA who is playing the role of KRiS SRIKANTH… Srikanth is known for his short temper and his chain smoking and the funny slang he use with his team mates… Jeeva comes up with his best performance in Sreekanth role …. 

The so called as CRICKET Politics in the 80’s has been highlights in this movie… how the English comentrators treat the underdog a Indian team and how they came out victorious was just too good…. The characters who play West Indies team were Also too good. Especially Vivian Richards … 83 MOVIE is a movie that everyone has to watch and celebrate…. It’s a big applause for someone like KAPIL DEV who has spent his energy passion and his love for the game of cricket is just unbelievable… A TRUE Indian hero who has to be celebrated….
