SELFIEE - PREVIEW
SELFIEE- NEW BOLLYWOOD MOVIE REVIEW:
Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in a NEW Remake of Malayalam movie DRIVING LICENSE. The movie is all about a Die Hard Fan of Akshay Kumar who is a big Bollywood Star and about an Average Citizen Emraan Hashmi who is a Driving License Officer. The movie did not do very well at the Box office. So, with much confusion we went to this movie to see how the movie is. Here is my review on SELFIE, a new Bollywood movie.
STORY:
The Story revolves around EMRANN HASHMI a die-hard fan of AKSHAY KUMAR who lives in Bhopal. His live is about his Work, his Little Son who is also a fan of Akshay Kumar. They cut school and office to watch his movies. They will do anything to meet the STAR.
It Just happens that AKSHAY KUMARwho is the dream star comes to their Town to shoot for a movie. Both Emraan and his Son want to take SELFIE with their Prime Star and as usual they end up with disappointment. They somehow want to meet their star. It happened to be that AKSHAY Kumar Lost his license and he had to come to the LICENSE office to get one.
In this process MEDIA gets involved that the Famous Star does not carry a License and it becomes a national News. A misunderstanding between the STAR and his FAN starts and the rest of the movie revolves around the Clash between the STAR and the FAN. The movie ends with how the Issue between them gets resolved.
AKSHAY KUMAR & EMRAAN HASHMI:
Between the two EMRAAN HASHMI stands out as an Average FAN who is trying to run his family and at the same time he plays the DIE HARD Fan who will do any sacrifice for the STAR he loves. AKSHAY KUMAR acts as the Star, and he Dances and entertains the Crowd. The Clash between both were interesting but I felt that it could have been more intense. The Last 20 minutes when the Crowd trashes EMRAAN and how AKSHAY comes and saves him was truly interesting and emotional. Overall great performance from both the Stars.
LOLLU COMMENTS:
This movie is not a Hit and I wonder why. The movie has a great story line which is very different than the regular movies. There is not a moment in the movie that was dragging. It’s a movie about a Die-hard fan who wants to take SELFIE with his star, a Dream that everyone has. Sometimes good movies fail to make an impact in Box office and SELFIE is one such movie that did not make an impact in Box Office. I have not seen the original Malayalam movie and I heard that the original version was much more emotional than this movie. A good movie that you can watch when you have some time.
